Why an X-ray matters
An X-ray shows what cannot be seen with the naked eye: decay between teeth and under old fillings, the condition of roots and bone, infection at the root tip and teeth that have not yet come through. It lets us plan treatment precisely, without guesswork.
When we take X-rays
- at the first examination and when planning treatment
- before and during root canal treatment
- before prosthetic work and implants
- for unexplained pain or swelling
